In the municipal area of St. Martin there are a large number of archaeological finds and ground monuments which cover a period of almost six millennia. Starting from the parish church, Archaeological Trail 1 leads via Oberbergla, Korbin and Sulberegg back to St. Martin. Along the way you will discover Roman burial monuments, the burial site “Sillihanslweide” and two medieval fortifications on Taborkogel hill. At the same time you will experience a diverse landscape which makes the route even more entertaining.

The Archaeological Trail 2 leads via Dietmannsdorf and Hart to Otternitz and via Reitererberg back to St. Martin. The tumuli, which are characteristic of central Styria, are particularly common in the area around St. Martin, including Otternitz. If you keep your eyes open, you will experience a manifold cultural landscape with forests, meadows and fields.
