The region is therefore one of the most important archaeological sites in the southeastern Alpine region.<\/h5>\n<p>The Hengist Museum, opened in 2005, offers an insight into the importance of the Wildon area in the course of prehistory, the Roman period and the Middle Ages. It sheds light on the cultural-historical development of Central Styria and its cultural connections to other regions of Central and Southeastern Europe.
