Furthermore, in the first phase of the project, well-preserved outer walls were uncovered under 1.5 m of rubble. These important finds were not to be simply filled in again. Therefore, open floors with gratings and glass plates were built over them. Now, in Phase II, the flagship project Deutschlandsberg Castle is to be expanded once again to include high-quality museum areas, and the L wing is to be definitively reconstructed.
