Within the framework of the Leader project \u201cArcheo Norico 2016-2018,\u201d major implementations were successfully carried out.<\/h5>\n

Among other things, the main tower of Deutschlandsberg Castle was roofed over and further work was carried out on the inner courtyard and L wing. Furthermore, in the first phase of the project, well-preserved outer walls were uncovered under 1.5 m of rubble. These important finds were not to be simply filled in again. Therefore, open floors with gratings and glass plates were built over them. Now, in Phase II, the flagship project Deutschlandsberg Castle is to be expanded once again to include high-quality museum areas, and the L wing is to be definitively reconstructed. This project aims – according to the local development strategy of the LAG Schilcherland – to strengthen regional awareness for culture and thus also regional identity.<\/p>\n
